3. - or bone spurs may form extra bone around the joints and ligaments and muscles around the hip may become weaker and more rigid. Often, the cause of osteoarthritis is unknown.

Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis is a condition that affects teenagers and children 15 years of age or less. It is sometimes called juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis causes the joint lining to swell and leak fluid into the joint. When joints are swollen, stiff, and sore and feel warm to the touch.

Infectious arthritis is an infection of the joint. The infection from a bacterial infection, viral or fungal infection that spreads from another part of the body. Besides the usual symptoms of arthritis, infectious arthritis can cause chills and fever.
